Description
We will depart early in the morning from Athens to Delphi. On our way, we will pass through Thebes and Levadia. As we journey through the village of Arachova, which is situated on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, we will finally arrive at Delphi and begin to explore the Archaeological Site.
Located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, amidst a breathtaking landscape, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. During our visit, we will get to see some of the most famous ancient Greek masterpieces, including the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, and the Museum that contains sculptures like the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias.
After our visit, we will have lunch in the modern village of Delphi before returning to Athens by the same route.
